Our Story.
Our love story began in 2018 when we first matched on the app that everybody loves to hate: Tinder. Neither of us were expecting our first date to lead to our forever. Five years later, our relationship has survived three periods of long distance, a pandemic, and more bad jokes than Safiya cares to count.
We are different from each other in most ways, but our differences create a unique balance. We expose each other to new ways of thinking, being, and approaching life’s challenges. Dan proposed to Safiya on Christmas Day of 2022. Thanks to the discretion of Safiya’s parents along with a lot of other people who also knew of Dan’s plans, Safiya was completely shocked. After a whirlwind year, we are ready to kick off our next chapter with a wedding on our anniversary in Riviera Maya on May 17th, 2024. We are so excited to celebrate with you.

To book your travel arrangements (hotel, transportation), please visit the link below the listed room categories and enter all of your information to receive a confirmation. Â If you would like to add additional nights, we would be happy to extend your reservation dates. Pricing is for a 3 night stay and includes shared, non-stop ground transportation to and from airport/resort on dates of check in/check out booked within this group. All room deposits are non-refundable. 50% of payments are due by Jan 6, 2024 and remainder by Feb 8, 2024. All payments are non-refundable after Feb 8, 2024 and Travel Protection is encouraged to protect you.

If purchasing flights on your own, please email the full flight itinerary to chantelle@foerstertravel.com as soon as they are booked to set up your round trip ground transportation. Things To Do.
You’re going to love Playa del Carmen… everyone does. It’s a beautiful, quiet vacation paradise 45 minutes down the coast from the crowded Cancun scene in Mexico. Playa del Carmen is known mainly for white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a laid back bohemian vibe. Not too long ago it was a fishing village but has now become the #1 destination in Mexico.
There are so many fun things to do in Playa Del Carmen. The famous 5th avenue is a pedestrian walkway that runs through town and is lined with shops, restaurants, bars and palm trees with twinkly lights. Right off the coast, you will find the Meso-American Barrier Reef, the second longest coral reef in the world. It is a wonderland for snorkelers and scuba divers alike. Don’t forget the fascinating Mayan archaeological sites. The people and the culture are sure to intrigue you.
